How to open a TIFF file in your browser

  1. Drop a TIFF or TIF file onto the viewer above, or click Choose files.
  2. Scroll through the pages or click a thumbnail. Zoom with the buttons, Ctrl + scroll or a pinch, and rotate pages that were scanned sideways.
  3. Use Save as to download the file as PDF, JPG or PNG, or print it.

What the viewer does

Every page

Multi-page TIFF files show all their pages with thumbnails, so you can read a 40-page fax or court document from start to end.

Sharp at any zoom

Pages are redrawn from the original pixels at your screen’s resolution, so small print stays readable when you zoom in.

Nothing is uploaded

Your files are read and converted by your browser, on your device. They are never uploaded, so scans of contracts, medical records or court papers stay private. Once the page has loaded it even works offline.

Questions and answers

Why can’t my browser open TIFF files?

Chrome, Edge and Firefox cannot display TIFF images, so they download the file instead. This viewer reads the file with its own decoder, inside the page.

Can it show multi-page TIFF files?

Yes. All pages are shown, with thumbnails on the side. Scroll, click a thumbnail or type a page number to move around.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is opened by your browser on your device and never sent anywhere.

Can I convert the file after viewing it?

Yes. Save as PDF, JPG or PNG from the viewer, or print it.

Does it work on a Chromebook, Mac or phone?

Yes, in any current browser. On a phone, pinch to zoom.
