Why convert here

Nothing is uploaded

Your files are read and converted by your browser, on your device. They are never uploaded, so scans of contracts, medical records or court papers stay private. Once the page has loaded it even works offline.

Every page, in one PDF

Multi-page TIFF files such as faxes and scanned documents keep all their pages. Drop several files to combine them into one PDF, or save one PDF per file.

Pages at their real size

Each page gets its size from the file’s resolution, so a letter scanned at 300 dpi prints as a letter page. Or fit every page to A4 or US Letter.

Sharp, small fax PDFs

Black-and-white pages are stored without loss as 1-bit images, so text stays crisp and a 12-page fax becomes a PDF of well under a megabyte.

Opens difficult files

Group 3 and Group 4 fax, LZW, ZIP (Deflate), JPEG and old-style JPEG, PackBits, 1-bit to 32-bit and floating-point images, palette colors, CMYK, YCbCr, Lab, tiled and BigTIFF files. Both .tif and .tiff.

Free, no sign-up

No account, no watermark and no daily limit. Very large pages depend on your device’s memory.

Questions and answers

Is it safe to convert confidential documents here?

Yes. The conversion runs in your browser on your device, and the files are never sent to a server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and it still works.

Can I convert a multi-page TIFF to one PDF?

Yes. Every page of the TIFF ends up in the PDF, in the same order. Drop several TIFF files at once to combine them into a single PDF, or untick “Combine into one PDF” to get one PDF per file in a ZIP.

Will the PDF pages have the right size?

With “Same as the scan”, each page uses the resolution stored in the TIFF, so a page scanned at 300 dpi keeps its paper size. Files without a resolution are treated as 72 dpi. Choose A4 or US Letter to fit every page onto a standard sheet.

Does converting lose quality?

Black-and-white pages, which is most faxes and document scans, are kept exactly. Color and gray pages are saved as high-quality JPEG to keep the PDF small; choose “Lossless” to keep every pixel, at the cost of a bigger file.

Is there a difference between TIF and TIFF?

No. .tif and .tiff are two spellings of the same file format, and both work here.

Can it convert fax TIFF files?

Yes. Group 3 and Group 4 fax files work, including “normal” resolution faxes whose pixels are twice as tall as they are wide. Their pages come out with the right proportions.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit. Very large files need enough memory on your device; pages larger than 120 megapixels are saved at a reduced size.
